Environment Conscious Materials-Ecomaterials

This volume includes the papers presented at the International Symposium on Ecomaterials which was held in conjunction with the 39th Annual Conference of Metallurgists in Ottawa from 20-23 August, 2000. The scope of this volume covers subject areas such as Global policy initiatives impacting sustainable development, Design technologies for materials recycling, Materials Life Cycle Analysis, Technologies for remediation of green house gases, and also Materials technologies impacting the environment such as materials for fuel cells, advanced batteries, sensors, catalysts substrates, and filters and membranes among others. The materials spectrum which is covered in this volume includes ceramics, metals, polymers and their combinations and also a wide range of processing technologies.
