The first biography of Sir George Trevelyan, renowned grandfather of the movement for spiritual regeneration in Britain. During his lifetime, George Trevelyan explored beliefs in angels, the calming effects of crystals and the power of ley lines, as well as organic farming and communal living. In 1971 he set up the Wrekin Trust to promote spiritual education, and was awarded the Right Livelihood Award (the “alternative Nobel Prize”) in 1982 for his contribution towards healing the planet. His teaching, which encouraged the emerging synthesis between science and spirituality, has inspired communities, universities and spiritual groups worldwide. He died in 1996 at the age of ninety.
