The End of the War in Europe

These are the proceedings of a conference on the cessation of hostilities in Europe. It brought together resistance leaders, military heroes, key figures in wartime and post-war planning, historians and academics and led to analysis, debate and eyewitness accounts. Discussions included parallels with World War One, psychological profiles of the key leaders, and the political crisis, social dislocation, and the legacy of loss and devastation after six years of war.
