The Land of Smiles & Royal White Elephants: Let’s Travel to Thailand Together

The Windows on the World Books have found a wide audience among armchair travelers of all ages though originally targeted at the younger audience (aged 8 to 18). They are an excellent resource for families to read aloud together. One cannot visit Thailand without being enchanted by its exotic and appealing history. Together we visit the ancient ruins of Ayutaya and the famous palaces and temples of Bangkok. We give and elephant a bath, visit schools, and experience monsoonal rains and flooding. Friends tell us many wonderful stories about legends both old and new that capture our imagination and our hearts.
