Successor to the US Department of Education’s discontinued directory, this reference lists accredited, degree-granting institutions of postsecondary education in the US and its outlying areas, arranged by state. Each entry includes the institution’s name, complete contact information, alpha code, FICE/OPEID identification, Carnegie classification code, school calendar, date established, tuition and fees for 99-00 year, fall 1998 enrollment, type of student body, affiliation, IRS status, highest degree offered, program, accreditation, and administrative and academic officers with job classification. Other information includes accrediting agencies with addresses, acronyms, and other details. The volume includes indexes of administrator phone numbers and e-mail addresses; regional, national, and specialized accreditation, and Federal Interagency on Education numbers.
