Jeff Curtis has been writing short stories and poetry since growing up in very rural north-eastern Ohio, where he shared his experiences and love with the beauty of the outdoors. His professional responsibilities have allowed him the opportunity of developing his writing skills. His first book of poetry, an American Poet, was published shortly after he won the title of 2001 International Poet of the Year. Jeff writes with sincerity and clean Finding beauty and wonder in such things as deer tracks in the snow, falling leaves, the purity of people’s hearts and God’s simple magnificence. He has recited his poetry to audiences in Italy, Sicily, Austria and Hungary, is a member of the International Society of Poets, West Virginia Writers, and the West Virginia Poetry Society, regularly contributes to his local newspaper, and is a frequent participant of writers groups. He lives with his wife Brenda in northeastern West Virginia.
