Abstracts, 7th International Congress of Egyptologists

Attendees at the September conference in Cambridge returned to their institutions in an excited frame of mind. Suggestions of a `new era’ in Egyptological research have been heard in august institutions such as the Metropolitan Museum in New York. The 300 or so abstracts of papers presented here show the range of contributions. With final publication of the sessions years away, these unedited, c.500 word abstracts are the best guide to `what’s new’ and who is doing it at this important time.
