Atlas of the Myocardium

This unique atlas contains 69 color-coded diagrams that clearly and vividly depict the intricacies of myocardial function. Drs. Ferrari and Opie have written classic texts on myocardial physiology and metabolism and share a talent for translating complex ideas into lucid diagrams. Now, these authors have integrated their concepts on cardiac contraction, electrophysiology, and metabolism and enlisted a noted medical artist, Gabriele Stocchi, to graphically illustrate these concepts. The text and illustrations clarify the molecular and cellular mechanisms involved in normal myocardial function and the biochemical and physiological disturbances occurring in ischemia and infarction.
