Children’s Gems for the Heart

An endearing collection of children’s reflections compiled by Arlene Uslander over her 25 years of teaching Family Living. The discussions come alive through introductory narratives which include the reader in the scenes. We learn that “the best dad is forgetful” because he forgets that he already gave his kids their allowance; we wonder “who God prays to,” and “if there is a God for God,” and we puzzle over “how the first people knew how to make babies.” Enhanced by children’s illustrations, the uncensored and spontaneous views of the world are portrayed through the innocent eyes of children.
