Claude Simon: Adventures in Words

Claude Adventures in Words is designed to introduce Simon, winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1985, to new readers by setting his novels in the context of literary critical debate in France over the last 50 years. Most emphasis is given to peaks in Simon’s The Flanders Road’ (1960), The Georgics (1981) and The Acacia (1989). This expanded edition also includes a new chapter on Simon’s most recent works, The Jardin des Plantes (1997), and The Tramway (2001).
