Craniofacial of Trauma

Over the past decade there have been major advances in the management of patients with craniofacial trauma. These have been fuelled by new c oncepts and techniques arising from the elective repair of congenital craniofaciald deformities, and also by the increase in survival after trauma, due to improved resuscitation techniques. More radical approac hes to complex problems have been achieved by multidisciplinary teams, with close collaboration between the neurosurgeon, maxillofacial surg eon, otorhinolaryngologist, opthalmic, plastic, and accident and emerg ency surgeon. This book is the first to provide a multidisciplinary ap proach to the management of craniofacial trauma. Each section has been written by a specialist involved in craniofacial trauma, from the poi nt of view of their own particular discipline, and presents vital info rmation on the practical manamgement strategies.
