Deep Soul

David is a Spaniard, who encounters many of life’s difficulties, and continually tries to find his place in a world he feels has no place for him. The divorce of his parents sets off a chain of events that force the boy to learn self-reliance. When his poverty-stricken mother nearly allows him to starve to death, David is swept from the freedom of the streets to the strict confines of a boys’ boarding school. Looking only for the love and affection he does not get from his own family, David travels to the United States to finish high school. There he meets the beautiful and kind Hope, whose love restores David’s faith in himself and the world. David and Hope learn some of life’s hardest lessons as they fight to stay together. Their story exemplifies the power of love and the beauty of the human spirit. David’s story reminds us of the fire inside each of us _ the fighting spirit that inspires us to find love and happiness. He gains freedom from himself and ultimately learns that the only way to survive is to love.
