Fantasist H. P. Lovecraft enjoys an honor shared by few other authors of imaginative fiction — since his death, the term Lovecraftian has come into worldwide use to describe a body of work so fully realized as to influence countless generations of subsequent writers. Each author in this volume came under the Lovecraftian conjuration and then wrote a story that in some way reflects this experience, providing compelling testimony that H. P.
