Fluid Dynamics: Theory and Computation

This introduction to theoretical and computational hydrodynamics of incompressible fluids is targeted at senior undergraduate and postgraduate study in applied mathematics, mechanical, aeronautical, civil and chemical engineering. It stems from a course given by Dr Sajjadi in Stennis Space Centre, USA, for students to use as software and mathematical hydrodynamics tools. The material is explained in great detail, supported by numerous worked examples of advanced mathematical techniques (e.g. asymmotic boundary layer theory). Problem exercises with solutions and hints are also given to test student comprehension. There are computational examples with computer programmes for readers to use or modify to solve and compare relevant theory.
