Forever Faithful: The Unfolding of God’s Promise to Creation

We make promises to God and to one another without knowing for certain how those promises will unfold. We make promises “in the dark.” God also made a promise through creation and renewed it through the resurrection. That promise is the basis of all human hope. If promises are the way by which human beings love God and one another in the dark, then the divine promise can also be viewed as God loving us in the dark. This contemplative book reflects on God’s faithfulness to us rather than our faithfulness to God. This reversal asks us to view the world as God with forgiveness, with love, and with a passion for justice. Father Reiser teaches us anew the meaning of faithfulness.
