Global Environment Outlook 3

This is the third report in the Global Environment Outlook (GEO) series from the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) that provides comprehensive, integrated and policy-oriented assessments of the global environment. GEO-3 is published 10 years after the Earth Summit in Rio in 1992 and in time for its successor, the 2002 World Summit on Sustainable Development in Johannesburg. It sets an action oriented environmental agenda for the future, and complements the detailed assessment of the global environment set out in GEO-2000. This publication is an essential guide for policy-makers and an excellent tool for teaching and research. It also includes an electronic version of the publication on CD-ROM.
