Hostage at Meredith Mansion

Twelve-year-old Tina Cotton is forced to move to a foster home in North Carolina after the death of Aunt Sylvia. She is both frightened and fascinated by the behavior of her new foster parent, Nadine Meredith. Tina’s friendship with a girl named Sam lifts her spirits until Sam deceives her during cheerleader tryouts. When Trevor McWaters, the annoying little boy whom Tina never wants to see again, attends the New Year’s Eve retreat at church, Tina is pleasantly surprised at the polite, handsome young man he has become. Tina’s faith in God is all that she has to get her through the trials she will endure, especially when she discovers who Nadine Meredith really is.
