Introduction To Discrete Math

Intended for a one- or two-term discrete math introductory course, Introduction to Discrete Mathematics is designed to fulfill a general education requirement or a prerequisite for computer science courses. Written in an informal and conversational style, the mathematics is developed in a continuous progression from simple to complex. More sophisticated material is postponed until it is actually necessary. This new text also accomodates variations in student preparation and ability, as well as course design, by including special discussions called “Complements” and a number of challenging problems for more advanced and highly motivated students.
