This volume contains articles written by colleagues and students of the late Heinrich Wagner, formerly Professor of Celtic and Comparative Philology at Queen’s University Belfast.
The contributions include articles on Indo-European and Celtic philology, Celtic linguistics, Irish dialectology, lexicography, metrics and folklore and editions of Irish texts. The volume is introduced by a short appreciation by the editors of Heinrich Wagner’s contribution to Irish and Celtic scholarship and a personal account of his early years in Ireland by one of his closest associates.
