Nonlinear Editing and Visual Literacy

This text reviews the technical and practical possibilities for teachers exploring the world of nonlinear systems. Including six case studies, this report provides a summary of: the implications of new technologies for the industry; the approaches to editing followed in the further education and non-broadcasting systems; and the differences new technologies and nonlinear editing might make to teaching practices in further education.
