This is the most serious monograph to date to present an effective methodology for the study of Chinese painting and calligraphy. Not stressing the biographical details of  artists’ social environments, this study focusses on the nature and function of structure and brush-wielding that reveal the production period of each work and, in greater depth, specifics of an individual Masters’ art.
