Outdoor Atmospheric Corrosion

A May 2001 symposium in Phoenix, Arizona was originally intended to present results of the Society’s 1976 international outdoor atmospheric corrosion test program; it was soon combined with another being planned on indoor corrosion, but the indoorists stayed home, so all of the 29 papers consider outdoor corrosion. Scientists and engineers from the Americas, Europe, and Asia discuss predicting the outdoor corrosion performance of materials, laboratory testing and specialized outdoor test methods, effects of corrosion products on the environment, and the long-term performance of engineered materials.
