This book marks the transition from the traditional occam/transputer era to the implementation of CSP principles to object oriented languages, such as Java, C++ or occam, and other processors. An area that has totally evolved from ideas developed within the WoTUG community is the interprocessor communication. Here as well sound ideas from the transputer era are being elevated to other processor environments. The book is also an indication to the compiler writers who are concerned with the implementation of multi-threading and CSP principles into contemporary languages.
