A Falling Into An Eye The man spoke. “We shall be, if you trust. But, confidantes as I appoint.” You have fallen into my eye, to stay you must meet by a closet door as I request, and only then. Do not ask, say a thing from my calendar of rules, for to do so may cause pain upon your imaginary dreams……….for I’m those. There will be much for you to put up with, little will I share…………for you have fallen remember, “deep into my eye.” Never divorce a thought without conferring to a repeated question, I’ll not be given to answers. Your mood in demands to know will not affect me in the least. I’ll be about the country, be about a wire. But your status requires not a privilege to know, much less to understand; you are a mere woman; “I’m the eye.” Have you anything to say? But, before you do, let me inform you I’ll make no demands upon you in your waking thoughts. There will be no response to any mundane suspicions of my business, nor will I have a name. And Sir, I’ll be but in many thoughts as I reflect in the glare of “your eye.” The darkness of your movements will make me wonder who, wonder why. I’ll be speechless to any thoughts to reveal, for as you say, “I’ve fallen; fallen too far to reach past your secrets. I’ll question upon one remaining turn of the knob, “where is the diary, the pen?, the one used to keep count of those who have fallen under the spell of your eye…………Unknowingly.” Dedicated to Ravens of Texas……….L.Y.B…………………….Always
