This volume gathers eight essays on African-American sociologist W.E.B. Du Bois from the spring 2001 conference, W.E.B. Do Bois and Frantz Post-colonial linkages and Trans-Atlantic Receptions. Included are reassessments of Du Bois as a pioneer of African history, as an analyst of Africa indigenous religion, and as a philosopher of justice.
