Referral of Iranian President Ahmadinejad on the Charge of Incitement to Commit Genocide

On some fifty occasions during the past year Iranian President Ahmadinejad and other senior Iranian officials have uttered apocalyptic intimidation seconding Ahmadinejad s infamous wipe Israel off the Map threat. Statements like the Jews are filthy people, [the Jews have] inflicted the most damage on the human race, [they are] a bunch of bloodthirsty barbarians, and they should know that they are nearing the last days of their lives, along with references to the myth of the Holocaust are textbook examples of incitement to genocide. The danger is compounded by the Islamic regime s long-range nuclear-capable missiles that can strike any location in Israel, its rogue development of WMD, and the ongoing proxy missile attacks by Hamas and Hizballah. This congruence of capabilities and intentions portends nothing less than preparations for a genocidal war with grave consequences throughout the Middle East and the world. Bluntly put, Ahmadinejad s incitement necessitates an indictment. This monograph demonstrates why the international community, senior political leaders and prosecutors in various jurisdictions, must treat Ahmadinejad s genocidal incitement and intimidation with the gravity it urgently deserves.
