Reflections on the Art of Personality

The recent popularity of the Sufi poets Rumi and Hafez has sparked an interest in Sufi mysticism, both ancient and modern. This volume is the first in a series of Reflections –– small books by Hidayat Inayat Khan which offer short meditations based on Sufi teachings. Sufism is a universal wisdom-philosophy honouring all religious traditions –– concerned with the individual’s relation-ship to self, humanity and the divine nature. Composer and Sufi teacher Hidayat Inayat Khan offers his personal reflections on this art, based on the writings of his father, the Indian Sufi mystic and musician Hazrat Inayat Khan, founder of contemporary universal Sufism. These short meditations on the nature of the personality offer a thoughtful distillation of mystical teachings on the transformation of the self.
