Robert Therrien

The work of Robert Therrien exists in an area between painting and sculpture, representation and abstraction. His vocabulary of shapes is continually explored and reinvented, using numerous assorted materials, varied surfaces, and vibrantly rich colors. The viewer explores all of these aspects of Therrien’ssculptural work in the simple but perfectly reproduced objects that made up the museum installation. Essay by Julia Brown.
