Skeletons in the Black House

Skeletons in the Black House is a tragic story, brimming with violence, including rape and attempted murder, as Cassie tells the tale of her hard life. Cassie was raised wrong from the start. At a very young age, Cassie’s grandmother taught her how to dance. She was so good at it people were willing to pay to see her – a situation her father took advantage of. Soon, however, she realized she as being groomed for a life of prostitution and tried to break free. She ended up being raised by a family that was not her own, all the while being constantly haunted by the rape of her sister. These were not only the tragic events she experienced. During her life, her father — whom she finds despicable — sets their house on fire, policeman try to rape her mom, and she is even attacked by a bobcat. Yet through it all, she manages to survive and even thrive, serving as a source of inspiration to all who have experienced tragic events in their lives.
