The original Seven Seas named by Medieval Arabic geographers included the Red Sea, Arabian Sea, South China Sea, Bay of Bengal, Persian Gulf, Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. During WW II the author sailed on the seven ocean seas, the Atlantic, Pacific, Indian, Arctic and the Southern oceans, and the Mediterranean and Red seas. This story chronologically logs his voyages, and describes the countries and islands visited, with historical references. In addition to wartime experiences, the author also relates humorous incidents and the occasional romantic interludes between voyages.
