Ten lessons addresses irony, figurative language, and the precision of vocabulary. Students write a variety of pieces, including a descriptive paper, an expository paper, poetry, journal entries, and a research report; analyze euphemistic vocabulary, poetry, and detailed passages from the text; and prepare a character profile and an oral report.
