Buck Bennett is an obnoxious radio talk show host who—while successful careerwise—can’t seem to match that success with his personal life. Richard Schmidt doesn’t even have a personal life. He is made miserable by an overbearing boss and cruel rejections from women, but after Buck humiliates him on the air, Richard strikes back. He kidnaps Buck and holds him prisoner in an isolated, makeshift jail where they sporadically have liberal vs. conservative debates when Richard brings food and water for his captive. Gradually, Buck becomes delusional from lack of human contact, while Richard’s luck completely changes for the better, and he comes to regret his decision. This is a unique, satirical, black comedy that will be enjoyed by ditto-heads, and people who hate radio talk show hosts alike.
