The Ever-so Heroic Adventures of Captain Square Jaw!: Square Jaw and the Jewel of Essex

This is a humorous, spoof pirate adventure story, and concerns a much beloved Pirate Captain named Nelson Square Jaw, and his search for a hidden jewel – the Jewel of Essex. His quest is to retrieve this jewel and hand it over to a gang of cut-throats who have taken hostage half of his crew as well as the inhabitants of his favoured tavern in the quaint sleepy port of Certain Death. On his journey he encounters actors masquerading as pirates, a cross-dressing Wise Woman, sinister clowns, a very tall Welshman and a whole host of other colourful characters. This is the first book, or “Book Juan,” in The Ever-so Heroic Adventures of Captain Square Jaw series.
