This volume offers a detailed study of the time, life and work of the 15th-16th century Jewish poet of Iran, known as ‘Emrani. It provides a critical edition, annotated translation and source study of the poet’s major work entitled Ganj-name (The Book of Treasure), which is a versified commentary on the ethical tractate of the Mishnah known as Pirqey Abot (The Chapters of the Fathers).
