The Mystery of the Gold Double Eagle

Tait and Marcus, two twelve years old boys, collect coins. Highway 35 is being built through their neighborhood and the abandoned houses are being demolished. The boys play house tag in an old pub which once was a log cabin. They find a note in a box written in German along with a gold double eagle and other coins. They go to a pawnbrokers house to have their coins assessed. The pawnbroker says the coins are not worth much and the note is a love letter. The truth is that the note is the clue to an extremly valuable treasure of buried gold double eagles. The pawnbroker and the kids battle to find the treasure first.
