The Nature Parks of France

Intended for British tourists and travellers, this guide covers the attractions of 32 national and regional parks in France. The parks are dotted throughout the country, some on the coast, some in the mountains, and some in marshy wetlands bisected by canals. All of them have marked walks (randonees) and boast an array of flora, bird life and sometimes even exotic fauna, such as wild boar, chamois, ibex, fallow deer and bears. This guide locates each park, providing a detailed map of the area, a list of tourist information offices, suggestions on where to stay, what to see and where to walk, as well as other activities available in the park – cycling, canoeing, riding, fishing and bird-watching.
