The Strawberry Girl

The Hunter family is made complete by the arrival of twin girls. Belinda is pretty, but her sister Rachel is disfigured by a birthmark. It takes a meeting with a gypsy wisewoman and Kas, a handsome traveller, to set Rachel’s mind at rest. Rachel falls in love with Adam, a local carpenter, but he breaks off their engagement and Rachel runs away. She is given shelter by the gypsies and eventually returns home – only to receive the greatest shock of all.
