The USSR 1987-1991: Marxist Perspectives

This is an interesting collection of sixty short articles and interviews that comment on various aspects of change in the USSR under Gorbachev. The work is divided into five sections: general economic and political developments, especially their significance for the working class; non-Russian struggles for self-determination; retrieval of the heritage of the left opposition; interviews with political activists in the USSR; and the August coup and its aftermath.
